How do I update my iPhone OS?
You can complete the update right on your iPhone. Simply plug in your device to a power source and make sure it’s connected to Wi-Fi, then tap Settings > General > Software Update. Choose Download and Install to download the update, and then tap Install when the download completes.
That’s all there is to it.
How do I update the TalkTalk TV Player app?
You’ll know there are updates available for apps on your iPhone when the App Store shows a red circle with a number inside it. To check if there’s an update for TalkTalk TV Player, just tap the App Store icon on your home screen, then choose updates at the bottom of the app. You’ll see a list of everything you can update.
If there’s a TalkTalk TV Player update, just press the ‘Update’ button, tap in your iTunes password (or provide a Touch ID) and our app will update. Just so you know, if you’re running iOS 8 or higher, you might find your apps update automatically. It depends on how you’ve got your iPhone set up.
How do I sign up to TalkTalk TV Store on my iPhone?
Sorry, it’s not possible to join TalkTalk TV Store from directly within the app, but you can create an account on the TalkTalk TV Store website, which works on your computer, or in Safari on your iPhone. Just visit www.talktalktvstore.co.uk, sign up and make your first purchase. You’ll then be able to kick back and enjoy it on the iPhone app.
How do I purchase movies and TV shows on my iPhone?
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to purchase content from directly within the TalkTalk TV Player app, but you can make purchases on the TalkTalk TV Store website, which works on your computer, or in Safari on your iPhone. Just visit www.talktalktvstore.co.uk, log in and purchase as normal.
When you open the iPhone app again, simply refresh your library by dragging your finger down the screen and releasing it. Your new content will appear straightaway and be ready to view.
Why can't I connect to my TV using Airplay?
Airplay is a streaming technology that lets you mirror the screen of your iPhone onto an Apple TV. Sorry, but for security reasons, this options is not compatible with the TalkTalk TV Player app. There are lots of other ways to enjoy our content on your TV, which you’ll find on our devices page.
Why is some content that I purchased not appearing on my iPhone?
Oops. Sorry to hear this. The first thing to try is refreshing the app by dragging down on the screen with your finger, then releasing and checking you’re connected to Wi-Fi.

Why can’t I find the TalkTalk TV Player app in the App Store?
It should be really easy to find us, but Apple won’t show our TalkTalk TV Player app if your device isn’t compatible. As such, you’ll need to make sure your iPhone is running iOS 8 or higher.
