It’s really easy to sign up for TalkTalk TV Store and start enjoying all your movies and TV shows. Anyone can join us, whether you're with TalkTalk for your broadband or not. This article answers some questions that you might have while signing up.
How do I buy or rent a movie or TV episode?
It’s easy. Just log in to your TalkTalk TV Store account, select the movie or TV episode you want and decide whether you’d like to buy or rent. Whichever you pick, you’ll be able to pay immediately using a credit or debit card, or any credit that might be on your account. If you’ve got a voucher, just enter it into the space provided. Click purchase and you’re all done. You can now sit back, relax and enjoy.
What’s the difference between renting and buying
Simple. When you rent a movie, you’ll be able to watch it for a short period of time, but when you buy it, you’ll own it, so that you can watch it forever on our website and supported devices.
If I choose to rent, how long do I have to watch?
When you rent a movie, you’ll have 30 days to start watching, and 48 hours to finish once you’ve pressed play. You can watch it as many times as you like in the 48 hour period.
How many devices can I watch my purchases on?
If you rent a movie, you can either watch it on up to two devices or download it to one device. There’s no way to select a different device again after you’ve used the second one, so if you want a third device, you’ll need to purchase again. If you’d like to do this, contact us and we’ll remove the rental from your account so that you can purchase it again.
You’ll only be able to watch your movie or TV show on one device at a time. Additionally, if you’ve already downloaded your rental, you’ll need to watch it on the device you downloaded it to.
For purchased movies and TV shows, you can watch or download on up to five devices of your choice. We’ll count your devices when you sign in to them. You can watch it on up to five devices, and you can make three swaps every 90 days. All the details are in our article about watching content on multiple devices.
Can I rent and buy from outside the UK?
Unfortunately, we’ve only got the rights to sell content in the UK at the moment.
