If Ocean’s Eleven taught you anything, it’ll have been that no matter how amazing your team, sometimes things don’t go according to plan! This article is about some of the most common issues on Xbox One. For more information about downloading and using the app, please see our article about watching on Xbox One.
Update 10/05/17: The Xbox One app is not currently available to download from the Store on your Xbox. If you currently have the app installed, you’ll be able to continue using it.
Why can’t I use vouchers, credit or Movie and TV Cards on Xbox One?
On Xbox One, payments are made through your Microsoft account – so you can pay with a credit or debit card, or PayPal. Unfortunately, we’re not able to let you use voucher codes, pay with your TalkTalk TV Store credit or use a Movie and TV Card directly through the app. You can pay in all of these ways by visiting www.talktalktvstore.co.uk in any web browser, and then returning to the app to enjoy your purchases.
How can I avoid buffering?
If your internet connection changes speed suddenly, this can create buffering – which is where your video stops and starts unexpectedly. We’ve got some more information on broadband speeds and buffering here.
Why are some of the movies on my Xbox One locked and unplayable?
It sounds like parental controls have been turned on for your Xbox One, which will stop you from watching certain age-restricted content. Don’t worry, it’s really easy to switch these off:
- Go to settings, and then privacy and online safety.
- Select access to content.
- Change the age rating to a new one that suits you.
You might need to enter a parental controls password to make these changes. This is set on your Xbox, and isn’t your TalkTalk TV Store password.
